Gradually, realizing the world around, the traditions and culture of the country of residence, the child grows up in the unity of spirituality and citizenship and develops into a socially active person. Each city and country has a huge cultural heritage that has absorbed the wise experience of previous generations and original creativity. Cultural heritage acts as a link between the older and younger generations. The lack of a systematic study of the cultural traditions of the country of residence is the reason for the lack of interest in them among young people, so the goal of the project is to popularize the cultural heritage of the countries where the project participants live (Ireland, Bulgaria, Italy, Spain, Portugal, Malta) among young people, to promote non-formal learning and cooperation in the youth sector with partner countries. This serves as a specific key action of the Erasmus+ programme. The youth mobile project helps participants to spend time abroad, gaining life experience and learning about different cultures, this is a project about the cultures of Ireland, Spain, Bulgaria, Italy and Portugal, improving language and other skills. Diversity in Cultural Heritage is a project that aims to present the cultural heritage of different European countries, in this case, Ireland, Portugal, Italy, Bulgari, Malta and Spain, and show that different countries have different cultural heritage. Culture in this project will be considered and implemented through the folk songs, games, rituals and folk traditions of the partner countries (Ireland, Italy, Spain, Bulgaria, Malta and Portugal), which will help broaden the horizons of the project participants. and acquaint them with the differences in the cultures of partner countries. Participants of the Diversity in Cultural Heritage project are children from immigrant families. Many project participants were born in European countries where their parents emigrated, so it is very important for them to know the culture and language of their country of residence. And since all partner countries are EU member states, the absence of borders will allow today’s youth to live and work in the future in any European country of the European Union. This project will help participants get acquainted with the culture, traditions and languages ​​of Ireland, Spain, Italy, Bulgaria, Malta and Portugal – the project’s partner countries, get rid of stereotypes and remove cultural barriers in communicating with peers.
During the project, young participants will gain new knowledge, skills and competencies about the culture and traditions of the partner countries of Ireland, Spain, Italy, Bulgaria, Malta and Portugal. Young participants will gain skills in organizing and conducting presentations, video production, teamwork skills, leadership skills, acquire the ability to cooperate with people from other countries and cultures, gain skills and experience in holding informal events, master the language skills of partner countries Ireland, Italy, Spain, Bulgaria, Malta and Portugal. Participation in the project Diversity in cultural heritage is an experience for young people in establishing youth cooperation and acquiring knowledge and forms of work with youth. The skills, knowledge and competencies acquired during the project will be used by the participants after the project in the work of organizations and in the daily life of young participants and in their future adult and independent life.
The project will take place from June 24 to July 5, 2022, in Cong village, County Mayo.
